Kamačnik GO GREEN with RCZI and Chainover to our incoming president

Kamačnik has carved its gorge into the massif of Velika Kapela and flows into the Dobra River, cascading down a small waterfall. The source of Kamačnik is a typical karst spring, where water reaches the surface through a submerged cave channel.

The trees and the Kamačnik River have unreal colors, like landscapes of incredible greenery. The entire path is accompanied by the murmur of water, which in some parts skips over pebbles and continues its flow dancing over small waterfalls. We will cross Kamačnik via wooden bridges, and after an easy walk, arrive at its source. The path is not circular, so we can turn back at any point and return to the beginning.

After the walk, we will seek a break at Bistro Kamačnik, where in a pleasant atmosphere we can taste traditional dishes of Gorski Kotar at reasonable prices. From game specialties, grilled trout, Gorski platters, various strudels to goulash and grilled dishes.

Kamačnik is among the 5 deepest springs in Croatia. The recorded depth of the spring is currently 118m.

The handover of the chain from the current president Petra Pungerčar to the new president Vesna Trnokop is scheduled. The trip is organized by Rotary Club Zagreb International. Own transport! Consumption at your own expense!
